Travellog

You have reached our “Travellog” where we will record our experiences of traveling through Africa. We will endeavour to post information on the Travellog that will help other overlanders to plan a similar adventure. We found a wealth of information on similar overland websites(www.africa-overland.net ) and felt that a component of our website should follow a similar format.

Travel Log (see menu bar)

You will see on the menu bar above “Travel Log” where we will record and update our travel diary. This would enable family, friends and interested parties to monitor our movements from country to country.

Charity

We have chosen two Charities, the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town,South Africa and Pangbourne College in the United Kingdom. You will see on the right side of the page two “Donate Buttons” on the Just Giving icon that will take you to the Charity of your choice.

The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is the only specialist Hospital dedicated entirely to Children in sub-Saharan Africa. The Children’s Hospital Trust is the fundraising arm of the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. 100% of the money that is raised goes towards purchasing the most up-to-date medical equipment, to the ongoing building and refurbishment of the Hospital.

Pangbourne College College provides a challenging education for young boys and girls. Pangbourne College is running a campaign to raise funds towards a new Communications Complex, designed to further develop the potential of the students so that they become successful leaders in their future chosen careers.
